The U.S. Dream Academy Gala 2008
Event Management and Onsite Support Services

Over five hundred guests including congressional luminaries from the Hill were in
attendance for the $1,000 per plate event hosted by actor and comedian Chris Tucker and WJLA Ch. 7 anchor Cynne' Simpson. The gala honored Dr. Ben Carson, Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Jim Payne, Executive Vice President at Quixtar. Highlights from the program included, performances by world‐renowned singer Wintley Phipps, U.S. Dream Academy founder, Jennifer Holliday, Peabo Bryson and the Dream Academy DreamKids and a special surprise presentation by R&B music sensation Keyshia Cole. The seventh annual U.S. Dream Academy Gala raised over $1.9 million dollars.
The gala serves as the main fundraiser for the U.S. Dream Academy, which offers
enrichment programs for children whose parents are incarcerated. The foundation was founded by singer and humanitarian Wintley Phipps. Regular donors and contributors include Ms. Oprah Winfrey and Senator Orrin Hatch.

Created by Kennedy Consulting, this event combines the talents of local musical and spoken word artists in an upscale café setting. Kennedy Consulting was responsible for booking all talent, layout and design of both the green room and event spaces, along with catering services. This event continues twice a year and is attended by more than 200 guests.

The Entrepreneur and Small Business Owners Cruise 2010

Currently Kennedy Consulting is in the planning stages for the first annual Entrepreneur and Small Business Owners Conference aboard the Royal Caribbean. This event is slated toset sail from the Port of Baltimore to Bermuda, August 21‐26th, 2010. We have securedspeakers from companies such as: Macy’s, CHOICE Hotels International, Carol’s Daughterand Optimum Capital Management. With this event, Kennedy Consulting has created a newway to conference that saves business owner’s time and money. At present we arefundraising for this event.

HBCU 6 City Tour 2010

Kennedy Consulting is in the process of planning this 6‐city tour for high school
Junior/Seniors and college students. This tour is designed to help close a 7.2 % gap in minority access to top‐level jobs upon graduating college. By connecting students with potential employers while attending school during this event students will receive tangible access to much needed services and opportunities. Currently we are surveying students to determine their needs, along with seeking sponsorship for this event. We hope to include partnerships with: The White House, The Congressional Black Caucus, National Education Association, Minority Development Agency, U.S. Department of Labor and many others. Our model will include workshops from top minorities in the business community, entertainers and an exhibit hall with companies will provide opportunities for
students.
